Lending Library

Friends in Action is in the process of building a new Lending Library.  The library will include a variety of books and resources for individuals to sign out and "borrow" on topics related to computers to fitness and exercise to financial planning and much more.  The Lending Library will be set up in the computer room. 

Our collection of book exchange materials is overflowing as well.  Be sure to check it out on your next visit and see if there is anything that interests you!!!

 
New programs at the Senior Center!

There are a number of new programs at the Senior Center this year, including "Bone Builders", a free exercise class, a painting group, knitting group, drawing and writing groups, a computer lab, Coffee House, and field trips. Click on our CALENDAR to see what is going on!

The COMPUTER ROOM is Open Every Day!

MEASURED INDOOR WALKING in the hallway is available every day!

RSVP BONE BUILDERS: An excercise program designed to prevent and reverse osteoporosis through strength training, balance excercises and health education.  There is no fee for the class however, you will need permission from your doctor before you can begin.  Please contact our office at 664-6016 for the appropriate form.

BASIC DRAWING: With artist Lee Townsend.  All levels are welcome.  No pre-registration necessary.

FREE WRITING:  Writing group meets to share prompts and exchange ideas.  Only share what you wish.

WEDNESDAY PAINTERS: Painting group led by Anita Tehennepe and Trudie VanLente.  Bring your own projects, paints, brushes, etc.  All skill levels are welcome.

VISIT WITH FRIENDS COFFEE HOUSE:  Coffee and refreshments are served.  Visit with friends, play cribbage or checkers.  Book exchange.  Live music on occassion (call office for details or check our calendar for updates).

SENIOR YOGA:  Suitable for all levels of experience using a chair or a mat.  A small donation will be appreciated upon participation.

KNITTING GROUP:  Come share your knitting time with others who love to knit.  Share projects or learn something new.  All skill levels are welcome.  Be sure to bring a bag lunch!

COMPUTER HELP:  The computer lab will be open.  Russ Grohe will be available for assistance with the computer.

BOOK EXCHANGE:  Be sure to check out our expanding library of books available, located in the Computer Room!
